The Marcin Wasilewski Trio album with Joe Lovano entitled „Arctiff Riff”, recorded for the ECM Records, was released on June 26, 2020.

ARCTIC RIFF TOUR
Almost 1.5 years we have been waiting for the opportunity to listen to live music from the Arcitc Riff album in the original line-up. Luckily, Joe Lovano will join the Polish Trio on a concert tour in selected venues and at selected festivals in Poland and Europe in autumn 2021.

The quartet, of Polish most outstanding jazz trio, Marcin Wasilewski with world jazz master saxophonist Joe Lovano, will start theitr tour at some best European festivals: GetCloser in Budapest, in the Finnish Espoo at the April Jazz Festival, the Belgrade Jazz Festival, JazzMi Festival in Milan, Veneto Jazz in Venice, Roma Jazz Festival, will also visit Palermo and Catania in Sicily to conclude European part in Spain's Seville and Puerto Real (Cadiz ).

For the final part of „Arctic Riff” Tour the Quartet will perform a series of concerts in Poland: at Warsaw’s Roma Theatre, Aula Artis in Poznań, Szczecin and Gdańsk Philharmonics, ICE Kraków Congress Centre and the Music Academy of Katowice.

The Marcin Wasilewski Trio & Joe Lovano „Arctic Riff” Tour 2021 is co-financed by the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport of the Republic of Poland and co- organized by the Film and Jazz Foundation, Adam Mickiewicz Institute of Warsaw, the Polish Institutes: in Budapest, Madrid, Rome, the Zbigniew Seifert Foundation, ICE Kraków Congress Centre and Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.

The co-organizer of the entire concert tour - the Film and Jazz Foundation is best known, among others, by the organizing of Krakow Jazz Juniors Festival and Competition (M. Wasilewski's Trio is one of the laureates of the 3rd place in 1991).
The Polish concerts take place thanks to the cooperation and support of the Union of Performing Artists STOART and the Society of Authors ZAIKS.
Warsaw concert held at the Roma Theater in Warsaw on November 8 as a part of the "Dobry wieczór jazz” („Good evening jazz”) series, and is announcing this year's ECM Warsaw Festival, supported by the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation.

With a Grammy Win for his 52nd Street Themes and 14 other nominations, he has won Down Beat Magazine’s Critics and Readers Polls countless times as Tenor Saxophonist, Musician of the Year, Jazz Album of the Year and Triple Crowns from Downbeat. He has also gotten numerous awards from Jazz Times and the Jazz Journalists Association for Tenor Saxophone, Album of the Year and Musician of the Year.
